Extracurricular
Students are encouraged to participate in extracurricular activities. To learn more about a club or activity, select the name in the drop down below.
Student-led clubs are initiated, created, and led by students at each individual school campus where the club is active. A student who wishes to organize a non-school sponsored, student-led club must obtain prior written consent from the school principal. These clubs are not governed by school officials, but a club monitor is present at the time of student-led club meetings held on school campuses. Parents or legal guardians must complete and sign the permission form to participate in a student-led club before their child may participate. Parents or legal guardians must complete and sign this permission form to participate in a school-sponsored club before their child may participate. If the student is 18 years old, the student must complete this permission form to participate in a student-led club or school-sponsored club. A separate permission slip must be completed for every club or organization that each student participates in.
Visit WCS Board Policy 6.702 for detailed guidelines and rules about school-sponsored and student-led clubs, activities and organizations.
Coffee House
Coffee House is a Renaissance longstanding monthly tradition where students showcase their amazing creative talents in front of their enthusiastic peers in an informal and encouraging setting. Coffee House performances include singing a song, playing an instrument (alone or with a band), or sharing a poem or short play. Students should contact Ms. Wolak if they are interested in performing in a Coffee House.
